With much anticipation Skate 2 will finally be available on PSN, January 15th. I’m probably one of the biggest Skate fans out there. Although I did love the Tony Hawk era which one game actually included Spider-Man, Skate is more realistic and has more moves. The only thing that gets me upset is that Xbox 360 owners will be getting the demo tomorrow! Either way as long as I can play some of the game I’d be happy. The game, if you don’t remember the date, will be releasing January 21st.
I’m not sure if it’s a great time for King of Fighters to be releasing thier game out just yet with Street Fighter coming out soon. The buzz for the game might not be as great as the one for Street Fighter, even if the game ends up being a good game. Either way the game King Of Fighters looks great from the new flashy trailer shown above. The game is set to release in Japanese arcades in April 2009, with a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 release due at a later date.
With the talk of Killzone 2 coming out a lot of other games have gotten the shadow lately but with the most recent screen shots of Metro 2033: The Last Refuge will make you take a second look. When playing Metro 2003 you will play the role of Artem, a young soldier whose mission is to reach the underground city of “Polis”, to warn them all of the incoming attacks from “The Darkness”. Game seems pretty simple and not much story yet behind it but the graphic wise it looks pretty promising. 4A Games has designed a well style game and hopefully it wont be a big disappointment when it does drop.
I must say this game is pretty gory but looks so freaking sick in a nice way! Here is a new game play trailer of the upcoming release Prototype. From the first look of it you can’t help but to think of GTA with a mix of F.E.A.R. The game play it self looks great but maybe just a little to much is going on, but other than that looks like a promising game.
Rumor has it that the guys are Sony has something stirring up for the PS3 users/fans. From a scan found within the Dutch OPM, it indicates that Sony will in fact be revealing a new exclusive title in the coming weeks. I’m not sure what it could possibly be but I’m sure Sony now knows that they can’t not bring out any crap games anymore because they are pretty much walking on thin ice when it comes to the console wars. Lets all just hope that Sony will be releasing something we will all like to see.
If you plan on waiting for the Kill Zone 2 Demo than you are out of luck. PlayStation has announced that the Demo will only be available to you once you preorder it at Game Stop. You will only be allowed to play the Kill Zone 2 demo after the release of the game it self which kind of sucks. The demo is set to release on February 3rd while the games release date is February 27th.
